Last Thursday, October 27th concluded the 23rd ISAPS Congress 2016 in which Dr. Patricia Gutiérrez Ontalvilla attended on behalf of the Hospital Politecnic i Universitari La Fe de Valencia.
ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) is the most prestigious international plastic surgery society in the world. Dr. Patricia Gutiérrez is a member of ISAPS and SECPRE (Spanish Society of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery).
In the words of Dr. Patricia Gutiérrez: “it has been a very motivating experience to be able to present to other world-class professionals a part of the work we do in the pediatric plastic surgery unit of the Hospital Universitario La Fe”.
The attendance at the ISAPS 2016 Congress is estimated at around 2,000 plastic surgeons from all over the world, which “can give us an idea of the magnitude of presenting and disseminating the work on fat grafting in reconstructive surgery in children that we are developing in our hospital”.
Dr. Patricia Gutiérrez’s presentation was entitled Fat Grafts In Plastic Pediatric Surgery and presented some of the cases of reconstructive surgery treated with fat grafts from the patient’s own fat that she has performed at the Hospital La Fe in Valencia.
Among the nearly 300 international speakers who attended the 23rd ISAPS Congress, Dr. Patricia Gutiérrez emphasized that “the 8 Spanish representatives have been able to show the work we do, which is at the highest level worldwide.”
ISAPS congresses are held biennially. The next one will take place in October 2018 in South Beach Miami (USA).
