- How are the new B-Lite implants different from other prostheses?
The cover of the B-Lite prosthesis is made of silicone, therefore the same as the conventional ones. The difference is in the internal gel, which in the case of B-Lite implants is silicone with microspheres, which makes the prosthesis lighter.
- Are B-lite prostheses just as safe?
Absolutely yes. The shell is the same as traditional silicone shells and is manufactured by a German company that has been in the market for more than 25 years. The inner gel of the B-Lite implants is a cohesive gel of microspheres that remains stable inside the prosthesis shell.
- Who are the ideal candidates?
In particular, candidates for B-Lite implants are:
- Women who need a change of prosthesis and want the new implants to be lighter.
- Women athletes or runners who need a prosthesis that provides enough volume to the breast but does not weigh as much as the traditional ones.
- Women who are going to undergo mastopexy with prostheses.
- Women who want large implants but do not want so much weight that it can sag the breast earlier.
- What are the advantages of B-Lite prostheses?
I would mainly highlight the following features of B-Lite implants:
- They are up to 30% lighter.
- The result of the surgery is more durable as there is less tension in the tissues (due to less weight) and therefore less sagging and aging of the breast.
- We can achieve larger sizes and volumes with lighter prostheses.
- Athletes are more comfortable wearing lighter implants.
- Same surgical technique.
