The nymphoplasty or labiaplasty is an intervention framed within the group of vaginal surgery or female intimate surgery.
It is indicated in those women who for congenital or other causes have asymmetrical or very large labia minora (labia minora hypertrophy) that distort the aesthetics of the perineal area.

For many women, labia minora hypertrophy prevents them from wearing tight-fitting clothes, bikinis, swimsuits and even from practicing sports such as spinning, cycling, etc.
Sometimes personal hygiene can be affected.
It also often leads to insecurity when it comes to sexual intercourse.
Nymphoplasty surgery and postoperative period
The surgery is performed in the operating room under local anesthesia and sedation (or spinal anesthesia) and lasts approximately 30-45 minutes. We use stitches that dissolve in 2-3 weeks. The patient stays a few hours in the clinic and is discharged.
During the postoperative period the patient must follow established hygiene guidelines so that the area heals normally. The incorporation to work is almost immediate and sexual intercourse should be avoided in 3-4 weeks.
With nymphoplasty, the aesthetic and youthful appearance of this intimate area is recovered without loss of sensibility.
The degree of satisfaction after the operation is usually very high, restoring self-esteem and self-confidence to patients.
