First of all, what is PRP?
PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma is an innovative facial rejuvenation treatment that, through the infiltration of the patient’s own plasma rich in growth factors, stimulates, enhances and accelerates skin regeneration in a simple and effective way.

This technique consists of an autologous (the patient’s own) preparation obtained by centrifugation of the patient’s own blood.
Our blood is made up of blood cells, plasma and platelets. By means of a centrifugation system we separate the blood cells and use the PRP or platelet-rich plasma because it has the property of biostimulating the formation of collagen and providing growth factors, mainly PDGF ( platelet derived growth factor ).
This produces a regeneration of the skin from the inside to the outside, resulting in a noticeable rejuvenation.
In addition, growth factors obtained by the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) method are applied in scar depressions, fibrosis, pronounced furrows, mixed with fat (as a graft), with ß-tricalcium-phosphate to stimulate collagen synthesis or in the form of platelet clot in scars to accelerate the healing process.
Growth factors can achieve tissue regeneration and repair. With this procedure, collagen formation is stimulated.
Platelets and their growth factors are obtained in a minimally invasive and ambulatory way. Blood is extracted from the patient, centrifuged and the plasma is separated for subsequent facial mesotherapy.
Improvement can be observed from the first session but this logically depends on each patient and their particular case. The number of sessions will be indicated by the plastic surgeon as well as their frequency.
