Rhinomodeling or non-surgical nose reshaping is an alternative available for patients interested in improving the shape of their nose without undergoing rhinoplasty in the operating room. This technique is performed in the office, so it does not require hospitalization, surgery or anesthesia. That is why the results are obtained faster and without any postoperative period.
What products are used in rhinomodelation?
In our practice we perform rhinomodeling with different types of hyaluronic acid depending on whether we want to work the back of the nose, the tip or the columella. They are hyaluronic acids of high reticulation but of different elasticity to adapt to the characteristics of each treated area. As you may know, the skin on the back of the nose does not have the same thickness or texture as the skin on the tip of the nose.
Are all patients candidates for this treatment?
Patients who wish to have a smaller nose are candidates for rhinoplasty in the operating room.
Rhinomodeling is an additional technique to correct certain types of nose with an irregular dorsal hump, a slightly drooping tip, etc.
How long does the procedure last?
The estimated time is 10 to 20 minutes and the patient can immediately return to her daily life.
The infiltrated area may be slightly edematous for about 24 hours.
In my particular case, I like to have my patients come in for a check-up 3 to 4 weeks after the first session in case a “mini touch-up” is needed.
And how long do the effects of rhinomodelation last?
Depending on the quality of the hyaluronic acid used, results are usually maintained for about 1.5 to 2 years.
What is the price of this treatment?
The price of a rhinoplasty varies depending on the needs of each particular patient. I like to assess you personally on the first visit to advise you on what is appropriate in each case.
