This morning I attended as a panelist at the “Workshop: Women and Leadership” organized by Dora de Teresa, director of Go Up.
The talk took place in the morning at the well-known (and fabulous!) Hotel Westin Valencia. This “workshop” is a meeting with women from different professional sectors, both from the administration and the private sector. The level of the attendees (both panelists and audience) has been very high and their contributions really valuable. The talk (which lasted more than 3 hours!) was very lively at all times.
The objective of this workshop was to delve into the advances that have allowed the promotion of women in top management positions and to study and propose future actions that will facilitate this path for future generations.
As I have mentioned to my colleagues, from my position, both in the Hospital La Fe in Valencia and in my activity in private plastic surgery, I try to contribute to the mentoring of young professionals who stand out for their efforts and I try to give greater visibility to women doctors and researchers.
From my point of view, it is necessary to publicize our achievements. This will allow us to establish a close model of success that girls can identify with and that allows them to understand that they can go much further than we can.
Among the panelists are: Monica Pont (Head of Economic Area and Business Development at FISABIO), Maco Mira(Regional Secretary of Economic Model and Financing), Begoña Rodrigo (Chef and Director of La Salita Restaurant and Nomad) and Rocio Briones(General Director of Employment and Training of the Valencian Employment and Training Service (SERVEF)).
Personally, I could not be more pleased to have attended. I had the opportunity to meet some of the most influential women in the Valencian Community. I hope to meet all of them again very soon!
