Buttock augmentation

Dr. Gutiérrez performs all buttock augmentation surgeries in the operating rooms of IMED Hospital and NISA Hospital 9 de Octubre and always under general anesthesia. The procedure lasts approximately two hours. The buttock prosthesis is made of high cohesive silicone gel so that there is no risk of rupture when walking, running, sitting, etc. The implant is placed under the gluteus muscle so that it is not noticeable. The incision is located in the crease between the two buttocks so that it is as inconspicuous as possible. Once the procedure is completed, a pair of drains are placed and kept for 48-72 hours and a tight bandage that is replaced by a specific girdle that patients should wear for 3-4 weeks. During the first week it is advisable that the patient does not support the operated area and sleeps and rests face down or sideways. The stitches are removed about two weeks after the operation. Physical exercise is not recommended during the first month and a half after surgery. In these patients it is important to follow the recommendation to avoid intramuscular injections in the treated area due to the potential risk of puncturing the prosthesis.
