The pubic lift surgery consists of a liposuction of the area to remove excess fat and remove excess skin tightening the genital area and leaving a very thin scar above the pubic hair.
The surgery lasts 1-1.5 hours and is performed in the operating room under local anesthesia and sedation. The patient remains in the hospital for a few hours and is discharged. It is important to remember to wear a tight-fitting girdle for three weeks to reduce swelling and bruising in the area. The stitches are removed after two weeks.
