Vistabel – Azzalure – Bocouture are different product names used to designate the botulinum toxin type A that produces a relaxation of the muscle where it is injected causing the relaxation of wrinkles on the forehead, crow’s feet or frown lines.
The treatment is contraindicated in pregnant or women who are breast-feeding, in patients allergic to egg protein or in patients with neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis or certain myopathies.
The treatment is done in the office and usually lasts about 15-20 minutes, through a series of pinpricks with a very fine needle. The effects start showing after 48 hours and is at its maximum potential in 2 weeks. After four months, the effect begin let your muscles relax and after 6 months when you will need a new session.
It is important that you immediately gesticulate frequently right after your treatment in order for it to work better. You should also avoid exposure to heat and saunas in the hour’s right after the surgery.
