The XXIV SEMCC Mediterranean Conference took place from May 6-8, 2016 in Sitges (Barcelona) and I would like to start by saying that it has been a pleasure and an honor to have been able to share a forum with the rest of my fellow speakers and with the audience.
It is not the purpose of this article to give a complete summary of the conference, but I did not want to miss the opportunity to publicly express my admiration for Dr. Patrick Tonnard, one of the “fathers” of lipoffiling, who came from Belgium to share some of his most interesting cases.
We were also able to enjoy the presentations of Dr. Eduardo Serna Cuellar, one of the most interesting Spanish plastic surgeons today.
My presentation was moderated by Dr. Nestor Navarro Flo and dealt with Lipotransfer in Pediatric Plastic Surgery, a procedure that we perform on a regular basis in our unit at La Fe Hospital in Valencia.
Finally, I would like to publicly thank Dr. Víctor García Giménez (president of the SEMCC and organizer of the congress) for his invitation to participate and for all his kindness to the speakers.
